9:30: Community Forum I: Student perspectives on the “North Country Action Plan: Common Sense Solutions to Our Ailing Economy & Financial System”.

1:00-3:00: Littleton Community Visits

Location: Unless otherwise noted, the following presentations will be at the Littleton Community Center, 120 Main St.

 

^ Restorative Justice “Conference”, introduced by Jay Apicelli Restorative Justice Coordinator, Communities for Alcohol & Drug Free Youth, CADY.

 

^ North Country Charter Academy. Faculty and students will speak about the new directions in education that they have been pioneering.

 

^ The Littleton Food Coop, owned by its members, will share how it has not only helped to bring nourishment to many families in the North Country, but how it is supporting local gardens and farms in the area, as well as the larger community.

 

^ AHEAD, Affordable Housing, Education & Development looks forward to welcome visitors and sharing the lessons they learned with respect to helping citizens of the North Country establish a home.

 

^ David Ernsberger of Littleton will speak of his public spirited efforts to import to the North Country cultural offerings, including “Play Me, I’m Yours.”

 

^ Richard Alberini, Curator of the Littleton Area Historic Society, will entertain visitors in their museum below and offer a tour of Littleton’s celebrated Opera House above. Location: 120 Main St.

 

^ Veronica Francis, founder of Notchnet, and one of Littleton’s god-mothers, will welcome visitors around the statue of Pollyanna and share the story of how it has helped to lift the spirits and fortunes of the community.
